Scholars assume that the »King of Babylon« of Isa 14 was never buried. In contrast, this article suggests that he was indeed interred and that his corpse was exhumed and exposed. The argument is based on the presence in Isa 14,19 of the common idiom ????? (Hiphil/Hophal) with ????, which occurs elsewhere with the unambiguous meaning »to cast / be cast from locus A (to locus B).«
