Is God Good for His People? Critical Remarks on a Recently Proposed Emendation of Nahum 1,7 und Tagung

Pinker’s recently proposed emendation for Nah 1,7: ??? ???? ???? ?? ???? ??? »Good is Y_^HWH for his people, a strength on the day of distress« should be abandoned since it is not supported by the versiones antiquae and does not account for the literary technique of the slowly unfolding of the central ideas applied in the Book of Nahum.

L’émendation récemment proposée par Pinker pour Nah 1,7: ??? ???? ???? ?? ???? ??? »Y_^HWH est bon pour son peuple, une force au jour de détresse« n’est pas convaincante parce qu’elle n’est pas étayée par les versiones antiquae et qu’elle méconnaît les techniques de développement littéraire utilisées dans le livret de Nahoum, où les thèmes centraux ne sont exposés que progressivement.

Die von Pinker vorgeschlagene Emendation für Nah 1,7: ??? ???? ???? ?? ???? ??? »Gut ist Y_^HWH für sein Volk, eine Stärke am Tage der Not« ist nicht überzeugend, da sie nicht von den versiones antiquae gestützt wird und die im Nahumbuch angewandte literarische Technik der allmählichen Entfaltung der zentralen Themen verkennt.
