One of the most important witnesses to the Anaphora of Basil is the first Armenian redaction, which has survived in only three known manuscripts and several fragments.
Problems arose when the Venice manuscript (V) appeared with differing numbers in several older and more recent publications. The author traces the development of the variing references to this important manuscript and clarifies the prior and recent numbering concerning the Venice manuscript. The author wishes to thank her colleague, Ł.B. Zekiyan, and the Armenian monks of the Mechitarist Congregation in Venice for their assistance to obtain all pertinent documents while being in Venice.
