Intracervical application of synthetic hydrogel sealant for preterm prelabor rupture of membranes: a case report

We report a case of prelabor rupture of membranes at 20 weeks' gestation where a hydrogel sealant was applied to the cervical canal in order to maintain an adequate liquor volume in the second trimester. The use of this agent for the purpose of creating a cervical plug has not been reported to date.
