Diagnostic of blood coagulation

A survey is given on the peculiar characteristics of laboratory methods for analyzing the blood coagulation system with special regard to the preanalytical, the analytical and postanalytical phase. Routinely used methods are described as well as test combinations for the diagnostic of some characteristic coagulopathies.
