Stability in a wave source problem by Dirichlet data on subboundary
We consider an initial value problem with the homogeneous Neumann boundary condition:
Here Ω ⊂ is a bounded domain whose boundary is of piecewise C
2 -class. Let λ 0 be given and let Γ Ω be fixed suitably. We discuss an inverse problem of determining ƒ from the observation u|Γ × (0, T). Our main result is the stability in our inverse problem: provided that T is larger than the value given by Γ. The proof is based on the multilplier method.
