Reflections acting efficiently on a building

We show how Radon transforms may be used to apply efficiently the class sum of reflections in the finite general linear group GL_n(𝔽_q) to vectors in permutation modules arising from the action of GL_n(𝔽_q) on the building of type A_{n −1}(𝔽_q).
