Model experiments in the region covering the Arctic Ocean and the North Atlantic carried out using the data of NCEP/NCAR reanalysis on atmospheric flows are aimed at reproducing systems of ice thermodynamics and drift, circulation of ocean and coastal seas. This paper is focused on the surface circulation of the Arctic Ocean in order to study the propagation of fresh water, its transport beyond the Arctic basin and involvement in generating deep waters of the World Ocean. We simulate the propagation pattern of a tracer frozen in ice in the Yenisei delta, which can dissolve in water in ice melting.
