BioTrade and the private Sector

The private sector at COP8

The increasing interest in the private sector will feature throughout the deliberations of COP8. Following objective 4.4 of decision VI/26, there has been increasing cooperation between CBD and the private sector. The Working Group on Review of Implementation of the Convention noted that through various tools, standards and guidance, business and industry could contribute to the Convention's 2010 targets.
