Since the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety came into
force, the establishment of national regulatory schemes became one of the most
important biosafety issues. Glen Kurokawa and Darryl Macer
provide pivotal information about the current legal situation in Southern
and Southeastern Asia, i.e. Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, PR China,
India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, the Philippines, Singapore,
