State Observers for Periodic Signals: A Case Study in Active Vibration Control

Many of the signals arising in automotive applications are periodic due to the periodic character of the energy conversion process in the combustion engine. For the control of such signals, a state observer based on a model for periodic signals is a very suitable method. This is illustrated in this article for the active control of engine-induced chassis vibrations.
