Safety of mobile robots

In future mobile robots are most likely to serve as e. g. cleaning or transport aids. Compared to industrial robots this causes much stricter safety requirements due to increased autonomy and direct contact to persons. Obviously, concepts guaranteeing the safe function of mobile robots are to be developed. In this work specific hazards, possible safety solutions and requirements for the applications for different types of mobile robots are presented.
