RegIS – An Interactive Multimedia Information System for Control Theory

The revolution in information technologies over the last decade has profoundly changed the demands on control education. Electronic learning methods are occupying an increasingly important place in teaching and research. The information system RegIS is an attempt to take advantage of today´s web technologies. It is a steadily growing collection of multimedia documents and internet based control system material. RegIS was not designed to replace classical classroom courses, the presented material is rather intended to be used either as a supplement for existing lectures or as a basis for self-studies. This paper gives an overview over RegIS and reports practical experiences with it´s use.
