In this paper, first, a short review of the most important approaches in reachability analysis is given. Based on criteria like complexity, computation time and applicability one of these methods is chosen and used to determine thresholds for the monitoring of an electrically driven flap system. This method is then validated by a non-linear simulation of a significant failure case.
