The pulsed direct photoacoustic effect is exemplified by highly concentrated liquid dyestuff systems. The experimental arrangement for a photoacoustic set-up is described and the dependence of the measuring signal on the light-source and sensor construction discussed. Furthermore, a technical concept is introduced which makes it possible to determine on-line the dyestuff concentration in liquids even in highly concentrated systems.
