Programmable Bridge Standard for Calibration of Thermometry Bridges

This paper presents the calibration of ac thermometry bridges using inductive bridge standards. The principle of the bridges, of the standard used, and the calibration procedure are described. From the model equation developed for the bridge the measurement uncertainties are calculated and discussed. Finally the set-up and the calibration of a programmable inductive bridge standard is introduced. With this standard thermometry bridges can be calibrated automatically with the lowest attainable uncertainties.
