On Pole Placement in Model Reduction

In this note we establish the fact that in model reduction there exist Krylov-type projections which achieve moment matching and pole placement, simultaneously. In other words, the reduced system matches a certain number of moments of the original system and its poles are at pre-assigned locations of the complex plane.
