All systems of flow measurement fail in the case of two-phase flows. The Coriolis mass flow meter shows deviations already at small volumes of gas higher one percent, which cause uncertainties of the values of mass flow and density.
In this paper we present results of spectral analysis of vibrations of a turbed Coriolis mass flow meter. Further we show the results of the exciting currents and sensor voltages of various gas volumes, bubble sizes and compositions. We further attempted to take into account the influence of the surface tension. As a result we propose reference numbers for the identification of disturbations by gas bubbles.
Such reference numbers allow to correct errors of mass flow and density. They could be integrated in a concept of preventive maintenance.
