When selling perishable assets like capacity (e. g. selling flight tickets (transportation capacity) or reserving hotel rooms (storage capacity)) future demand usually is stochastic. If customer demands differ by size or by value, it is not trivial to decide whether to accept or to reject a customer´s request immediately when that request pops up. This is, because a rejection may allow to accept a later, higher-valued request on the one hand, but such request will not occur for sure on the other hand. In this contribution we will discuss expected revenue maximizing aspects related to dealing with such situations by means of so-called booking limits.
