Modified Optimal Control – Stability-Oriented Nonlinear Control

This contribution focuses on the first stability-oriented state space controller design method, called modified optimal control, which achieves robust stability, optimality and appropriate dynamic behavior of nonlinear systems. In order to demonstrate the efficiency and advantages of the presented approach a nonlinear controller is designed for a rotating rigid spacecraft.
