Modelling of Pressures and Volume Flows for a Biomass Furnace

Complex mathematical models of biomass furnaces already exist and are used for example in the design process of new furnaces. Because of their complexity they are very time consuming. Simple though quite accurate possibilities of modelling pressures and volume flows are presented in this article which can be used in real time as well. Hence they are applicable for the estimation of unmeasured quantities, diagnostic purposes or model based control strategies.
