Model-based Analysis of Bioimpedance Methods

This paper discusses possibilities and limitations of impedance methods on the basis of two examples: bioimpedance spectroscopy for the determination of extra- and intracellular fluid volumes, and impedance cardiography for stroke volume calculation. Emphasis is placed on modelling the physical processes behind the presented methods.
