Microwave Acoustic Sensors – from Chemical to Electrical Signals

Mass-sensitive chemical sensors respond with frequency changes to the selective sorption of molecules. We analyse the system behaviour of such sensors in the diffusion-controlled regime. From this, we deduce a model-based strategy for predicting the steady-state response and thus reducing the effective response time.
