Microelectronic Domestic Gas Meter with New Technology

For the new development presented here, up to date sensor on-chip technology is implemented in order to lead the more than 150 year old principle for domestic and commercial gas metering into a new generation. This technology quantum leap takes place in a global market with 20 million gas meters per year, which corresponds to approximately one billion Euro p. a. and possesses therefore a high economic importance. The new device is smaller, more accurate and offers further advantages at the same production cost as for the old technology.
