Metrological Contributions of PTB for Modern Production Technologies

The activity profile of the Precision Engineering Department of PTB is focused on research and development as well as on services in the field of dimensional measurements. The tasks comply with PTB´s mission and are oriented on problems arising from production technology. The contribution is concerned with the linkage of quality, metrology and the traceability of measurement results. Some R&D results are briefly outlined.
