A fibre-based fringe protection system and an image processing system for the handling of a micro mixing device are presented as practical examples for intermittent in-line process control. For the classical post-process metrology for micro systems a method is shown for the confocal laserscanning microscope to improve the image quality by applying adequate data interpretation methods.
