The established Air-Applanation Tonometry (oftentimes designated as NCT) for measuring the intra-ocular pressure features some advantages, e. g. a non-necessary anaesthesia of the cornea. Regarding uncertainty of measurement and technological realisation some improvable shortcomings become evident. An explanation of the errors of measurement is given and a miniaturised device is presented.
