Heat meters are used for measuring the quantity of heat. The principle is based upon measuring the flow and the temperature difference in a heating plant. For small temperature differences below 10 K it is important to measure the temperature with high accuracy. To comply with the legal conditions and tolerances the temperature sensors must be calibrated with an uncertainty of 21 mK. Investigations on a calibration unit used in a production line show the effects of various influence quantities. The uncertainty analysis is presented taking these information into account.
