This paper presents a modified method for discrete non-parametric predictive control systems and is used for the systems with zeros outside the unit-circle, known as phase non-minimal systems. Some of such systems have large values of the undershoots, that should be as small as possible. This problem has been solved using genetic algorithms. Genetic algorithms have been used in two ways: as search method and as optimisation method. The result is a method, which minimises the undershoots and at the same time improves the system dynamics.
