The application of photogrammetry by means of the grating method is introduced for non- destructive testing of components and materials at high temperatures using a computerised system for digital image analysis by high resolution CCD cameras. The test setup and the method for generating high-temperature resistant gratings are described. The suitability of the method is shown for temperatures up to 1400°C, using fibre reinforced ceramic matrix composite (C/C-SiC) components. Results for thermomechanically induced deformations of components with errors of some micrometers are presented.
