Experimental Test Facilities of the SAM Research Group

In addition to the development of new sensors for the objective and quantitative assessment of sewer damages, the partners of the DFG research group “Sewer condition assessment with multi-sensor systems" (SAM) attempted to achieve an additional quantification of the damage scale. After the further development and problem-oriented adaptation of the selected sensors, various measurements have been carried for the calibration of the results determined within the sewer pipes. This was done through investigations outside the pipes in different test facilities in the laboratory and field. In the following these test facilities are described in detail.
