Diagnosis of Continuous-Variable Systems with Quantised Measurements

The paper deals with the fault detection of continuous-variable systems with quantised state measurements. The discrete-event behaviour of the system is represented by a Markov chain or a semi-Markov process. The paper explaines the diagnostic method and shows by means of an example how faults can be detected and identified if these discrete-event models are used.
