Development and Characterization of a Calorimetric Flow Sensor Realized in Thick-Film Technology

Based on the results of Finite Element Analyses a calorimetric flow-sensor has been realized on a steel tube by thick-film technology. The sensor characteristics have been determined experimentally as well as by numerical simulation. The paper discusses procedures required to increase the linearity range of the sensor characteristic and sensor signal output.
