Development and Analysis of Time-Triggered Systems

Time-triggered architectures promise to fulfil the increasing requirements of future by-wire-systems in automobiles. The time-triggered principle requires new methods and tool concepts. In this paper a technique for the development and analysis of time-triggered systems is presented. Activities for the development of time-triggered systems are identified and integrated into the established software development process of the automotive industry. Being the basis, the main emphasis is the worst-case execution time analysis (WCET-analysis) of programs. The current trend of model-based software development in the automotive industry is considered by designing a concept for model-based WCET-analysis.
