The evaluation of electromagnetic disturbances emitted by electrical equipment is nowadays carried out by means of open area test site measurements defined in the standards. In the near future several new measurement methods will be defined. The aim of all disturbance measurement procedures is the limitation of the emission generated by the electrical equipment. Consequently, it appears to be necessary to develop a method to assess the measurement procedures with respect to their ability to achieve this aim. In this paper two methods are presented, compared with each others and one of them is chosen. Special considerations are made concerning the modelling of the EUTs (equipment under test), because their radiation characteristics strongly influence the results of the measurements.
