Coating Inspection with a PMD Reflection Sensor

An industrial sensor system is presented for the inspection of lacquered metal surfaces in the production process. The sensor detects missing lacquer defects on metal coils. It can be applied in line tests e.g. after coating. Designed for noisy and harsh industrial environment with profibus data-link, it is optimised for non-destructive inspection of translucent lacquers.
