Calibration of an ac Voltmeter by Comparison with an ac Reference Voltmeter

Starting from the model of the measurement process the uncertainty analysis is presented for the calibration of an ac voltmeter by comparison with a reference ac voltmeter serving as a working standard. It is shown that rules for reducing the calibration time may be deduced from uncertainty budget by a realistic estimation of the different uncertainty contributions.
