Automatic Control of Mechanical Ventilation – a Position-fixing

This paper presents a review on the use of feedback control and automation in artificial ventilation. Based on the key features of patient-machine-interaction, the authors attempt to develop a hierarchical scheme of different categories of control loops and give application examples.
