Anisotropy of Field Strength Meters

Results of field strength measurements at radio frequencies are usually affected by a metrological relevant uncertainty. The uncertainty budget contains contributions not only from traceable field representation, transfer and individual device properties but also from user specific device handling. The approach required for an application-specific measurement uncertainty budget is discussed which in particular accounts for the anisotropy of field strength meters.
