Analytic Form of the Laplace-Transformed Transition Matrix

This note presents the analytic solution of the Laplace transformed transition matrix, i. e. (sI – A)^-1, in the case of the matrix A being given as a companion matrix. Starting from this case, we can compute the Laplace transformed transition matrix of a general non-derogatory matrix A. E. g., controllable and observable SISO-systems have non-derogatory system matrices.
