A New Structure for Cascade Control

The dependencies between the control loops that exist in the common structure for cascade control complicate the design and the setting-up operation of the loops. This paper presents a new structure for cascade control based on feedforward considerations which produces independent control loops. Therefore the new structure has the significant advantage that the design and the setting-up operation of the regulators can be fulfilled independently and in an arbitrary order.
