This publication summarizes methods and practical experiences when developing object-oriented software. It addresses project managers and shows how software-development can be organized and planned as a process. Concrete examples from customer projects illustrate the technical notation of development results in successive steps, which are both complete and traceable. Results of a previous business modelling effort are used consistently, if available. Also the contents of a solution architecture and ist influence on the design process are discussed. The development process and management issues will be covered in a follow-on publication.
