Teaching and Learning in the Era of New Digital Media

The following paper discusses e-learning - the internet based teaching and learning using new digital media - on the background of traditional strategies and methods for computer-based training and computer-assisted learning. We show similarities and present common fundamentals of learning and teaching. Finally we show innovative ways to apply new media in lifelong learning and we ask for new didactic efforts aiming towards the "knowledge community" of tomorrow.
