System-Level Design Reuse

The increasing integration capability and shortening Time-to-Market in System-on-Chip design makes necessary the reuse of Intellectual Property (IP) at system-level. A way to permit the rapid integration of IPs is using platform-based design. A review will be provided of several organizations that are addressing system-level standardization. Finally, the most important design reuse aspects of a European Electronic Design Automation Roadmap will be highlighted.
