Long-time experiences in computer engineering led to well-structured design mechanisms. Central, persistent components usually are hard-wired, while dynamic parts stay reconfigurable. Thereby, modularity and inter-operability play an important role. The design process is independent from technology and on a high level of abstraction. This article studies current e-learning solutions in order to demonstrate how to transfer these experiences from research to education.
