Security in Electronic Commerce

Many organizations hesitate to use the Internet for their business. Along with the uncertainty of the business success especially security qualms are the major restriction for the introduction of Electronic Commerce. With the use of modern cryptography methods within a Public Key Infrastructure this can be strongly attenuate. This article explains the basic technologies and work flows of a Public Key Infrastructure for Electronic Commerce.
