Research Priority Program 1020 of the German “Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft”

The paper presents the Research Priority Program 1020 “Rapid Prototyping of Embedded Systems with Hard Time Constraints” of the German “Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft.” Since 1996, 13 research groups with 16 projects have been funded. The intensive cooperation has lead to a comprehensive research infrastructure consisting of hardware and software platforms, design automation tools and methodologies.
