Provable Security in Quantum Cryptography

Keywords: cryptography, secure message transmission, quantum key distribution, provable security

The security of established cryptographic schemes mostly relies on the non-provable assumption that a potential adversary only has limited computational power. In contrast, quantum cryptography provides provable security, using properties of small particles such as photons. In this article we explain how this new technique works.
