Precise Data for a more fluent traffic

The company DDG Gesellschaft für Verkehrsdaten collects and processes data about the current traffic situation with the help of the most modern information systems. Using the DDG data other services providers can develop and offer various innovative traffic telematic services such as traffic information, navigation systems and route planning. In the near future, cars with special telematic equipment will be able to provide data directly, enabling DDG to identify traffic jams as and where they occur. This system is called FCD – Floating Car Data. Cars with FCD on board-units are like mobile sensors reporting immediately when the traffic situation changes. DDG′s aim is to process high quality data in order to provide the motorist with information about a more fluent traffic.
