Pathway Analysis: On the Route from Genomics to Metabolic Networks

The reconstruction of pathways builds on genome and biochemical data. It is the ultimate goal to show higher level interactions between the enzymes in a specific genome, especially the different enzyme pathways (in a species or an individual/patient). The flow of metabolites in a pathway network is analysed by different tools such as elementary mode analysis. This leads to the identification of key enzymes and pharmacological targets in the enzyme network.
